Malanot Non Boisé Chenin Blanc 2021

Writer's picture: Jaco MeyerJaco Meyer

The Malanot Non Boisé (French: unwooded) Chenin Blanc is one of two Chenin Blancs produced by Marius Malan – the other is a wooded bush vine Chenin Blanc.

This wine has a light-yellow colour and offers a good complexity on the nose of lemon, bruised green apple, green pear and mango skin. It has a fresh, floral entry that is citrus-forward with notes of lemon and green mango, pear and tropical fruits. Hints of honeysuckle linger in the background. It has a long finish of tropical fruit.

This wine should be served chilled well and will be a great wine to pair with fish, chicken or pasta. It is ready to drink now or can be left in the cellar for 5 or more years. It is recommended to enjoy this wine with its wooded counterpart.
