The Mulderbosch Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé is something different from what you will see on most of the rosé shelves. There are not many rosé wines produced from Cabernet Sauvignon available at the moment, therefore, this one is unique. Above it all, it is really good with a bold complexity and offering something for everyone.
In the glass, this wine has a salmon pink colour with some rose gold hues. It has a medium complexity on the nose with notes of fresh strawberries, fresh melon and hints of raspberry. On the palate, it delivers well with the red fruit such as strawberries and raspberries, red flowers, a zippy acidity that is fresh, and a soft finish. The finish leaves a chalky minerality on the mid-palate which is really pleasant and unique.
If you are looking for a rosé that offers that “something else”, this is your go-to! Due to its complexity, it will work on its own, or with a wide selection of food. It will pair beautifully with sushi or a Mediterranean platter. This wine comes at a really good price. It should be served chilled.
