Beyerskloof Kriekbult Pinotage 2021

The Beyerskloof Kriekbult Pinotage is a recent addition to the Beyerskloof portfolio, produced from a 50-hectare farm that Beyerskloof acquired in 2018 with 27-year-old bush vines. The objective of this wine was to fill the price gap between the Reserve and Diesel Pinotage by Beyerskloof, but it is overdelivering by far for its price point.

In the glass, this wine has a dark ruby red colour. It is complex on the nose with ripe berries, vanilla and chocolate. It has an exceptionally soft entry with rounded tannins and a balanced mouthfeel. Preserved black berries, ripe red berries, plums, sweet oak spice and a subtle hint of banana is evident on the palate, lingering long with a fruity and dark chocolate finish. This wine has a fresh acidity throughout that will make you salivate for more.

This wine is exceptional and a must-try for all wine lovers. It is certainly not inferior to any other award-winning Pinotage wines and gives you true value for money. This wine can be served at room temperature or be chilled slightly. It can be enjoyed on its own or with a traditional potjie, braaivleis, lamb chops, steak or chocolate-based baked dessert. It can be enjoyed now or within the next 15 years.
