Boschkloof Syrah 2019

Writer's picture: Jaco MeyerJaco Meyer

The Bosckloof Syrah is one of their top single varietals that is a must-try, whether you want to try the farm's wine for the first time or like a good Syrah. This wine has a beautiful, deep ruby colour with a light purple hint on the rim. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of red fruits, black fruits, sweet spices and violets. It delivers on the palate what it promises on the nose: an elegant entry that slowly develops with various red and black fruits. It is a full-bodied wine with a great structure but silky tannins. It finishes off with some fynbos and spices.

It was so pleasant to see how people were searching on their phones for other products of Boschkloof while we were doing the tasting. Particular interest was shown in the Epilogue and Kottabos wines. I highly recommend the Boschkloof Syrah to any person who appreciate a really good wine!
