The Jan Harmsgat Cabernet Sauvignon is a limited-edition wine that delivers well for its price class. In the glass, it offers a deep ruby colour with a forthcoming nose of ripe plums and mint leaves. It delivers well on the palate, with cassis, plums, min and structured tannins. A slight smokiness comes through that can be ascribed to the 12 months in 4th fill French oak barrels and it leaves with a ripe fruit finish.

This wine can be chilled slightly and is best served in a smaller red wine glass. It will go well with beef ribs, stew and roasted vegetables. It can be enjoyed now or within the next seven years. It is good value for money.
