The Niel Joubert Cinsault Grenache Noir is a light-bodied red wine with a light crimson red colour. It has notes of red fruit and spices on the nose, creating the impression that it is an easy-drinking wine that can be enjoyed on its own. The entry of this wine is soft and silky, reminiscent of milk chocolate, and red fruits coming through with raspberry and fresh strawberries. It develops into cotton candy with white pepper, with a good finish. 50% of this wine has been matured in French oak barrels for 8 months, providing for structure and a soft mouthfeel.
This is an ideal red wine for those who prefer a lighter style wine. It can be enjoyed on its own, or with some red meat and roasted vegetables. It comes at a good price and is certainly worth a try!
