Valdo Moscato NV

The Valdo brand is synonymous with Prosecco and this Moscato is an exceptional sweet sparkling wine from Marche in Italy with vineyards 200-300 metre above sea level. The wine spent about 3 months in the autoclave and a further 2 months in the bottle before release.

In the glass, it has a pale straw yellow colour with a hint of green and lively bubbles. It is forthcoming on the nose with citrus, yellow flowers and stonefruit. On the palate, it has a creamy entrance that is still fresh. Floral notes follow, with honey, Acacia and lemon on the mid-palate. It is extremely well integrated between the fruitiness, sweetness and alcohol. It has a fresh and fruity finish that lingers for long.

This wine should be served chilled and is ideal as a sweet welcome drink or a dessert drink. Its high sugar content makes it an ideal partner for any sweet dish. It is ready to be enjoyed now and its integration of flavours are commendable.
