Many people know Arniston Bay for its location, east of the most southern tip of Africa. In this cool-climate area, the focus is on Shiraz. The rosé from Arniston Bay is nothing different: it is a dry Shiraz-based rosé that appears with a light salmon pink colour in the glass. Delicate notes of grapefruit, pomegranate and melon are evident on the nose. It delivers a fresh combination of these fruits on the palate, against a fresh structure with a good acidity. It finishes off with a fresh lemon blossom aftertaste.
The wines from Arniston Bay are vegan certified and Fairtrade certified. Supporting this wine farm, is supporting a whole community of fishermen to enable their children to pursue their studies. This project is run by father and son, Francois and Abraham de Villiers.
This wine can be enjoyed on its own or with canapés. It is ideal to drink it now or keep it in the cellar for not more than a year. It comes at a really good price.
